QPatchやQube84を用いた査読つき論文が、2020年第3四半期に12報出版されました。
この四半期に出版された論文の多くは製薬企業(Gedeon Richter、エーザイ、Lundbeck、Sanofi、Novartis、Esteve、大正製薬)より発表されました。しかしこれまでと同様にアカデミアからの発表もあり、University of HeidelbergからはQubeを用いた論文が、そしてUniversity of Queenslandからはさらに4報の出版がありました。University of QueenslandからはQPatchを用いた論文が我々の知る限りでも2020年だけで12報発表されています。
AMPA受容体、Cav3.Xチャネル、ナトリウムチャネル全パネル(Nav1-8)そして全てのCiPA関連チャネルについて研究が行われました。QPatchを用いたhERG安全性試験についての論文もあります。このことはQPachがhERGを対象としたスクリーニングにおいて、心安全性試験において、ベンチマークであり続けていることを示しています。
この四半期に出版された論文のテーマは、グルタミン酸受容体の研究から早期創薬フェーズやリード化合物の最適化まで多岐に渡っています。
なかでもエキゾチックなトピックとして、Wang et al. 2020とMcMahon et al. 2020を紹介します。 イモガイ属の捕食性イモガイの毒液から分離された神経毒ペプチドグループの一つであるコノトキシンの作用についてQPatchを用いて解析しました。
